Purpose 2X PCR MasterMix, Whole Blood PCR Mix
Characteristics Whole Blood PCR Mix provides all ingredients necessary for PCR in a premixed and optimized format that simplifies the PCR workflow. Whole Blood PCR Mix is a ready-to-use mixture containing Blood AdvanceTM DNA Polymerase, dNTPs, and reaction buffer in a 2X concentration. This Master Mix form of Whole Blood PCR system provide the end-user an efficient way to setup PCR experiment with less pipetting, thus minimizing human error, pipetting discrepancies, and contamination. Blood AdvanceTM DNA Polymerase allows direct PCR amplification of target templates from fresh or frozen whole blood samples. Whole Blood PCR eliminates the need for DNA extraction and thus greatly reduces the risk of contamination. Using a proprietary complex buffer system, Blood AdvanceTM DNA Polymerase can tolerate up to 20 % blood in a 50 μL reaction. Blood AdvanceTM DNA Polymerase has high reliability, sensitivity and efficiency, this robust PCR system is compatible with fresh or frozen whole blood samples preserved with EDTA, citrate or heparin. Magnesium Concentration Final (1X) Whole Blood Master Mix contains 3.0 mM Magnesium Sulfate, total Magnesium Sulfate concentration of up to 6.0 mM can be used. If necessary, Magnesium concentration can also be lowered with EDTA solution to eliminate non-specific amplification.
Application Notes Optimal working dilution should be determined by the investigator.
