Background
- This gene encodes a CBL-associated protein which functions in the signaling and stimulation of insulin. Mutations in this gene may be associated with human disorders of insulin resistance. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2014].Transcript Variant: This variant (4), also named M2, has multiple differences in the coding region but maintains the reading frame, compared to variant 3. This variant encodes isoform 4 which is shorter than isoform 3.
