Purpose
- Untagged full-length cDNA clone from Human TMED7 is ideal for over-expression of native protein for functional studies.
-
Specificity
- With the native stop codon at the end of the ORF the C-terminal Myc-DDK tag in the vector won't be expressed.
-
Characteristics
-
- These cDNA clones are isolated from full-length cDNA libraries and usually contain the coding sequence as well as the untranslated regions (UTRs) of the mRNA transcript appropriate to the library from which they were isolated.
- These cDNA clones are ideal for over-expression of native proteins for functional studies. Provided as 10 μg transfection-ready plasmids.
- Every lot of primer is tested to provide clean sequencing of cDNA clones.
-
Purification
- The DNAs were purified using PowerPrep HP Plasmid isolation kits for transfection ready plasmids.
-
Components
-
- The cDNA clone is shipped in a 2-D bar-coded Matrix tube as dried plasmid DNA.

- TMED7 (Transmembrane Emp24 Protein Transport Domain Containing 7 (TMED7))
-
Alternative Name
- TMED7

Background
- This locus represents naturally occurring read-through transcription between the neighboring transmembrane emp24 protein transport domain containing 7 (TMED7) and toll-like receptor adaptor molecule 2 (TICAM2) genes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, one of which encodes a fusion protein that shares sequence identity with the products of each individual gene. This fusion product functions to negatively regulate the adaptor MyD88-independent toll-like receptor 4 pathway. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010].Transcript Variant: This variant (1) represents the shorter transcript and encodes the longer isoform (1), also known as TAG. This isoform shares sequence identity with the products of both the TMED7 and TICAM2 genes.
