Purpose
- Untagged full-length cDNA clone from Human KLK11 is ideal for over-expression of native protein for functional studies.
-
Specificity
- Restriction Site: NotI-NotI
-
Characteristics
-
- These cDNA clones are isolated from full-length cDNA libraries and usually contain the coding sequence as well as the untranslated regions (UTRs) of the mRNA transcript appropriate to the library from which they were isolated.
- These cDNA clones are ideal for over-expression of native proteins for functional studies. Provided as 10 μg transfection-ready plasmids.
- Every lot of primer is tested to provide clean sequencing of cDNA clones.
-
Purification
- The DNAs were purified using PowerPrep HP Plasmid isolation kits for transfection ready plasmids.

Background
- Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and some have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. This gene is one of the fifteen kallikrein subfamily members located in a cluster on chromosome 19. Alternate splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms which are differentially expressed.[provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009].Transcript Variant: This variant (1) has an alternate 5' terminal exon, which results in a downstream translation start codon, compared to variant 2. The encoded isoform (1) has a shorter N-terminus than isoform 2, and is preferentially expressed in brain. Variants 1 and 4 encode the same isoform 1.
