siRNA Oligos
RNA interference (RNAi) is an RNA-mediated gene silencing mechanism. As a tool for mammalian cell systems, knockdown is achieved through the delivery of a double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) that matches the mRNA target sequence. The dsRNA can be brought into the cell as short interfering RNA (siRNA) via transfection, or short hairpin RNA (shRNA) via transfection or viral delivery of a plasmid or particle.
