Purpose
- Untagged full-length cDNA clone from Human ZC4H2 is ideal for over-expression of native protein for functional studies.
-
Characteristics
-
- These cDNA clones are isolated from full-length cDNA libraries and usually contain the coding sequence as well as the untranslated regions (UTRs) of the mRNA transcript appropriate to the library from which they were isolated.
- These cDNA clones are ideal for over-expression of native proteins for functional studies. Provided as 10 μg transfection-ready plasmids.
- Every lot of primer is tested to provide clean sequencing of cDNA clones.
-
Purification
- The DNAs were purified using PowerPrep HP Plasmid isolation kits for transfection ready plasmids.
-
Components

-
Alternative Name
- ZC4H2

Background
- This gene encodes a member of the zinc finger domain-containing protein family. This family member has a C-terminal zinc finger domain that is characterized by four cysteine residues and two histidine residues, and it also includes a coiled-coil region. This protein has been detected as an autoantigen in hepatocellular carcinoma patients. This gene has been identified as a potential candidate for X-linked mental retardation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011].Transcript Variant: This variant (2) differs in the 5' UTR, lacks a portion of the 5' coding region, and uses a downstream in-frame start codon, compared to variant 1. The encoded isoform (2) has a distinct N-terminus and is shorter than isoform 1. Both variants 2 and 4 encode the same isoform.
